At Cameracal, we believe that calibration should be more than a technical service — it should be an experience that builds confidence, understanding, and consistency in your photography. Our calibration sessions combine advanced testing with personal, hands-on tuition, ensuring every camera and lens performs exactly as it should.
All calibrations are carried out in person at our West Sussex facility (Kings Weald Community Centre, Wyvern Way, Burgess Hill, RH15 0GB). Room hire costs (typically £25–£30 per hour) are included in the prices below.
We’re also happy to quote for any specific camera and lens combinations not listed in the examples — including larger professional setups or specialist optical configurations.
1 Camera + 1 Lens Full calibration of one camera body and one lens. Includes demonstration, test-target verification, and setup advice.
Add further lenses for calibration during the same session.
If you bring a second camera body to calibrate during the same session.
Calibration of advanced third-party lenses such as the Sigma 150–600 mm Contemporary / Sport and Tamron 150–600 mm G2, using their dedicated USB Dock or TAP-in Console. This process involves multiple calibration points across several focal lengths and focus distances to ensure complete consistency throughout the zoom range.
We bring our specialist equipment to you. Travel and venue costs quoted individually.
Certain lenses — such as the Sigma 150–600 mm f/5–6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary and Sport or the Tamron 150–600 mm f/5–6.3 G2 — require a more comprehensive calibration process. Using each manufacturer’s dedicated USB Dock or TAP-in Console, we fine-tune autofocus across multiple focal lengths and focus distances to ensure complete consistency and optimum sharpness throughout the zoom range.
Because this process is highly specialised and time-intensive, it’s priced individually per lens rather than as part of a package.
Typical cost: £149 (per lens)
During your session, we take the time to explain not just what adjustments are made, but why they’re needed — helping you understand how your specific camera and lens work together. This hands-on, personal approach gives you confidence in your equipment and provides a far more rewarding experience than any remote courier service.
